PlaceandTime.com is a great resource to document and share the histories of places, families and individuals. This is an example of a "chronicle". Chronicles contain any number of "posts" aligned by place and time as the name of the site suggests. The can be built by individuals or collaboratively by groups. In this example, the posts are unrelated but normally they would tell a chronological story. This is a free and easy to use service that supports and encourages your creativity as you document your remembrances and bring your important photos to life again.
The additional magic of our site is that all of these photos and stories, however independently developed, are accessible by anyone using our place and time search engine. All elements of all stories become part of a global web of discoverable intersections.
In this chronicle you will find sample posts that look back into the past (click on the picture above to enter the chronicle). For some of these random posts you will see that they also belong to a different chronicle (simply click on "see in chronicles" below any expanded post that has this link).
You can also click on the search bar above, enter any place and time and see what you find. Since we are a fairly new site, many places and times may be without content. You can expand the search by looking at the entire county or state and by widening the time frame, say from a year to a decade. Better yet, go ahead and register and create your own post or chronicle for that place and time. You never know who may discover you there.
