What is the most cliche graduation gift you could ever imagine?
Try a European backpacking trip with your best friend. And by backpacking, I mean we literally carried backpacks and trekked across Europe. I was gone for about 2 months.
We began our journey in Athens, Greece. From there we hit Mykonos and Santorini, the beautiful Greek islands. We flew into Milan, Italy, and then headed to Rome... after that we stayed in Positano and Amalfi for about a week, and while we were there we visited Sorrento and Pompeii.
Next on our list was Espana!! Barcelona, Madrid, and Toledo... from there my friend Meg bid me farewell and my boyfriend met me for the second half; the more romantic and crazy/party part of the trip. After Toledo we went to Malaga for a few days, and from there we headed up north to Belgium, and Amsterdam, of course... can't go to Europe without going there! And last but not least, we ended our wonderful journey in Calpe, Alicante, Spain.
My trip was amazing, to say the least. While I was gone I kept an online journal, and from there I will be re-posting those entries here at placeandtime.com. I hope to share my travels with others, and of course would be more than willing to share advice on where to go, where to stay, etc. with anyone who is interested.
A trip of a lifetime that seemed to last forever, yet was cut too short. I will definately go back again.
