Milo is a complex boy, the undisputed alpha dog of his pack, dignified, and even aloof at times. But he also has a great need for affection, as well as a silly side. He will occasionally drop his Lord of the Manor act and play tug-of-war with his crazy brother (a Weimaraner mix), and often lets his baby sister (a Maltese puppy) usurp his cherished bone. A brown and white Dalmation, large for the breed, Milo is handsome and noble. But it was his eyes, ringed by brown, and freamed with white eyelashes-so human- that spoke to us when we saw him at the Santa Monica Animal Shelter in California. anonymous
