While i was in France, I passed the Brigitte Bardot Foundation, and one of its representatives asked me to adopt a puppy. Jokingly, I replied, "Only if its a tiny one I can keep with me on the plane." "Got it," the representative replied, after which she took me to a vet where someone had left a toy Yorkie to be put to sleep. And there was Sunday, holding her little arms toward me, making the prettiest sounds that implied "Take me!" which i did. She was not young, had an enormous belly, and an atrophied hind leg; so she went on a diet, had surgery, and now walks and is very pretty. Sunday goes everywhere we go, including museums and theaters; and we are as happy with her as she is with us. anonymous
