Before he was rescued, Jake (aka One-Eared Jake), a sensitive Lab mix, was on his way "down the hall" at the South Central Animal Shelter in Los Angeles, California, because no one wanted a one-eared dog. Jake is now in the center of everything, good and bad. He is known as the ringleader of the Third Street Hooligans, and enjoys a good rope toy, running at full speed, and powdered sugar donuts. He can be aloof, but will climb in our laps if he needs love. Jake is also a world-class snuggler, loves to sing when fire trucks go by, and has the personality of a prizefighter. Like Rocky, he is tough, yet loveable and sensitive. anonymous
