The trail goes through coastal mountains with dense mature oaks trees, canyons with great rock formations, and small waterfalls and streams. Mandy loved this hike and I'm sure Maya would have too.
The gently rolling hills and mountains are great for hiking and very scenic.

The beautiful oak trees here are up to 200 years old.

Mandy, our Border Collle that we adopted from the San Clemente Animal Shelter in Dec. 2007, is 4 or 5. She is a great dog and has been such a comfort to us in our time of missing Maya.

Big rock formations here are good for climbing and resting in the shade on.

Mike and Mandy hike very well together here on this steep and rocky part of the trail.
This stream and waterfall along the trail was a nice suprise to see in such a dry area of Southern California.
