Place and Time

My Grandparents on my father's side, Anna and Miguel Gonzalez-Ductor, are shown here with first child Mary shortly after emigrating to the US from La Linea de La Conception and Cadiz Spain in 1902.  They entered as many did at the time through Ellis Island.  It was fairly unusual for people from Spain to emigrate to the US, most preferring the more comfortable language environment in Central and South America.
